I’m Esther, the owner of Polished by Esther. This page explains how I handle your information when you visit the website, send an enquiry or book.
What is collected
When you send an enquiry or book, your name, contact details, message, appointment details and deposit payment information may be collected through the website and the GoHighLevel booking system. I use design photos you send only to plan your appointment. With your consent, I also collect your answers about nail health, allergies and relevant conditions or treatment to assess and plan your service.
When you select Continue after entering your booking contact details, your name, email and mobile number are saved so I can help with your booking, even if you have not finished it yet. This does not confirm an appointment or sign you up to marketing.
How it is used
Your details are used to answer your enquiry, manage your booking, send appointment reminders, and share the studio address in your booking confirmation and again the day before your appointment. Your details are not sold or shared for advertising.
I use your dated consultation record to check when a fresh consultation is due. A private returning-booking link is checked against your email, mobile number and appointment date. It does not display your previous health answers. Please tell me before your appointment if relevant information changes between annual consultations.
Marketing messages
Booking or sending a question does not sign you up to marketing. I’ll ask for your permission before sending promotional email or SMS, and each marketing message will include a way to unsubscribe. Appointment confirmations and reminders relate to your booking.
Website providers
The main website is hosted with Vercel and uses typefaces stored with the site. The enquiry form is provided by GoHighLevel and loads its own resources. These providers may receive technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device information, when the website or form loads. Information you submit through the enquiry form is handled in GoHighLevel.
Booking and consultation records are stored in GoHighLevel. The website’s connection, hosted with Vercel, also processes your contact details and consultation record to check whether your annual consultation is current and manage your private booking link.
Optional website analytics
If you choose Accept all or save Google Analytics as enabled in Cookie settings, Google Analytics helps me understand visits to public website pages, booking intent, visits to the native booking system and displayed booking confirmations. It also measures clicks to email or the enquiry section. It does not read your enquiry, contact details, consultation answers, design photos, appointment details or payment amounts.
The Google Analytics tag loads only after you allow it. Choosing Essential only keeps it off. The native booking page uses Allow and No thanks for the same choice. The site sends fixed page names and public page addresses, removing private links, arbitrary query values and URL fragments. Google Business Profile links may retain fixed website, services or booking attribution labels. Instagram and Facebook links may retain fixed profile or Story campaign labels. Referrals from Google, Instagram and Facebook retain only the source website address. Google Analytics may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information when enabled. Google signals, advertising personalisation and automatic form tracking are disabled for this measurement.
An essential cookie remembers your privacy choice for up to six months across this website and book.
Payments, storage and retention
The website does not store your card details. Payment information is handled by the payment provider shown in the booking checkout. Enquiry, booking and consent records may be stored in GoHighLevel and related business email records for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, meet legal or accounting obligations, and keep an accurate consent record.
The studio address
The studio is in a private home. The address is never published on this website and is only sent to confirmed clients, in their booking confirmation and again the day before their appointment. Please do not share it publicly.
Photos of your nails
Photos are optional. At your appointment, I’ll ask before photographing your finished hands and nails and explain whether I’d like to share them on this website, Instagram or both.
You can agree to a photo without agreeing to it being shared. I’ll record your choice and only use photos in the ways you agree to.
I’ll leave out your face, name, tags and identifying details, such as distinctive tattoos, unless you give specific permission for their inclusion and use.
You can decline before or during your visit without affecting your service. I’ll honour any refusal you’ve already given. Contact me if you want to change your choice or request removal of a photo I’ve shared.
Photography is optional and separate from accepting the booking policies. Read the photography section of the Client Policies.
